Network
On behalf of the Alliance, the National Minority Quality Forum is convening committed, like-minded, self-identified organizations to work with PCQA founding members (a listing of Network participants will soon be available). PCQA founding participants have agreed to provide leadership and guidance as additional organizations and individuals are added to the network.
Public Policy Committee
This Committee was formed to assess 2007 health legislation from a patient perspective. Initial educational efforts target consumers, providers and policymakers. The focus is on the proposed cost saving, value and effectiveness enterprise at the federal level. Efforts will target proposed aggregate quality of care reporting mechanisms, alerts community leaders when evidence for measures and methods is lacking or non-existent. The PCQA Public Policy Committee will work to initially to raise awareness of this serious disconnects at the national level and state levels, while advocating for improvements in medical evidence as a means of building the capacity to reporting measures of quality for special populations.
Communications Committee
This Committee is concerned with codifying and updating Alliance goals, mission and messages that can be used by PCQA and its members.
